Who we are

Proof that advocacy can become action.

HerProve Initiative is focused on creating practical pathways for women, youths and children to understand their rights, access support and participate in decisions that affect their lives. Our work brings together community education, gender advocacy, research, monitoring and partnerships.

From educating communities on the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act to addressing menstrual hygiene, adverse childhood experiences and online gender-based violence, HerProve meets people where awareness, protection and action intersect.

What we focus on

Issues that deserve more than conversation.

Our programmes are designed around real community needs and the barriers that prevent people from understanding their rights, participating fully and accessing justice and opportunity.

01

Rights & Justice

Making laws and rights easier to understand through community education, including VAPP Act awareness delivered in accessible local languages.

02

Digital Safety

Monitoring online spaces for gender-based violence and tracking platform, institutional and legal responses to harmful online behaviour.

03

Civic Participation

Supporting conversations around inclusive governance, civic participation, representation and meaningful involvement in public decision-making.

Our programmes

Turning awareness into action and meaningful change.

HerProve develops practical initiatives that help communities understand their rights, engage with important social issues and participate more meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives.

01 I-SABI-VAPP

A community education initiative focused on increasing awareness of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act. The initiative translates legal protections into practical information that communities can understand and use, including outreach in communities such as Adiyan.

02 Rights & Justice Education

Community-focused education that makes laws, rights and legal protections easier to understand through accessible information, workshops and local-language engagement.

03 Online GBV Monitoring

Monitoring public online spaces for gender-based violence and documenting how platforms, institutions and legal systems respond to harmful online behaviour, helping identify patterns and gaps in accountability.

04 Civic Participation

Supporting greater awareness and engagement around civic participation, representation and inclusive governance while contributing to conversations around meaningful public decision-making.

How we work

Local knowledge. Accessible information. Strong partnerships.

HerProve combines workshops, multilingual educational materials, advocacy, monitoring and collaboration. We work with communities and partners to make information more accessible in English, Yoruba and Pidgin, while building practical channels for support and referral.
